Football, give me an opinion for me.At my high school, football sign ups started today. I didn't sign up. But some other freshmen students in my PE class think I should because i'm apparently "Fast"
--------------Well here's the deal. --------------
I never played football other than touch football with friends just for fun, no seriousness involved. So basically I never actually played a sport.
I never watched football on TV, nor have I read about it.
I'm 5 feet 7 inches, 130-140 pounds, will be 16 years of age in a month
my forearm is 2 and a half inches wide and my segment above that but below shoulder (bicep? tricep? whatever) is 3 and a half inches wide when relaxed.
I have never benched or squated anything higher than 50 pounds added to the bar ^>^
I have never put thought into football about actually being on a for real team until today, never talked to it to my parent.
And i'd say I need braces. Do you need like straight teeth for a mouth guard or something? Probably be a 5% chance this summer i'd get a pair...that's if my mom gives a shit and can remember how to spell cereal with a C not an S.
I'm a complete N00b you could say. How long of an oportunity do I have to sign up? (relate it to your own school) And yeah I know the whole process of "ask your own people around you," so don't give me that.
Call me a loser but i'll just throw a bar of soap and a toothbrush at you, k...or shall I say, A bottle of soap. dun dun dunnnnn

I would if I were you, but I went to a school that was big on football, some are big on other things like band and what not. You'll love the feeling of wearing your jersey on game day, and you will get a lot tougher and faster overall. You'll notice a lot of people jump on towards their sophomore, Jr or Sr years, the best thing you can do is start early, it makes it that much easier. Oh yeah, and wait till the rush when you run on the field through the paper wall and through the cheerleaders at the start of the first game!
