random crap from me + need computer help yet again. There is an asian guy at my school who's name also Minh, High school Senior.
Today was a nice spring day, sunny but not hot. I look up into the sky and there is a patch of wispy clouds directly under the sun, and guess what... there was a rainbow ring around the sun and yes you could actually distinctly see it.
Also like 2-3 weeks ago my computer messed up again.
It had updates that were available and I chose the options to install and turn off computer in 1 clock of a button. Unfortunetly it had a svchost.exe - Application Error again.
The instruction at "XXXXXXXXXXXXXX" referenced memory at " XXXXXXXXXXX". The momory could not be "read"
then it has the option to debug or terminate
and this other pop up that always comes up is, Generic Host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Yeah this has happend before but doing a system restore didn't work and if I click ok or cancel or anything to these pop ups they screw up the computer. For about 2-3 weeks I just move them off to the side...
So I'm asking for help...again, you may tell me a step by step way to solve it here or give me a trustworthy link to a site that can help me fix this.
It fixed itself before the night it happend with a miracle and somehow fixed itself, but for a few weeks now, it has yet to do that.
Buying new computer parts or reformating is not an option.
quickly before the chinese kill Jack Baur's girl friend!

When you say
The instruction at "XXXXXXXXXXXXXX" referenced memory at " XXXXXXXXXXX". The momory could not be "read"
Usually refers to a memory (RAM) or OS problem (usually memory)
what exactly are you doing that is causing the problem, what does it look like, is it an error message in a blue screen? can you go into more details about what causes the problems? when it started? any possible reasons why it started? (IE was it after you installed something? maybe you opened your computer case to dust it out?)
as many details as possible would help

The pop ups (NOT blue screens) come up right after the computer gets turned on and loads itself. Hopefully I don't have to tell you what the pop ups look like (border color, sharpenss, etc) And when it happend I was about to turn off the computer the way it's suppose to be done. There was an option that aloud me to update the computer AND turn off the computer immediately following right after. I selected that option and as it was trying to update the first update (out of 1 I'd say) the error messeged popped up, just the one that talked about how the memory could not be read. I then restarted the computer with the button on the CPU (manually).
Before that, the ONLY thing I've been doing to the computer was playing games on it like warcraft.
Then sometime like last week, somehow the option came up again to turn off the computer and update at the same time when I was trying to turn off the computer immediatly following a manual restart before the pop ups have a chance to come up upon computer loading because if those pop ups come up I can't turn off the computer, I clicked it but the memory error came up again, I clicked ok to terminate and it proceeded to turn off itself. The error messegess still come up to date. ( at the moment I'm using a different computer ) But the option to update does NOT appear. It does though when the computer loads on the tool bar or whatever on the bottom right but it comes and goes in less than a second, no arrow to extend the thing either, yeah it dissapears on me.
Edit and P.S. When I open up world of warcraft to where it goes to the log in screen, there is no music, this is the only place where there is currently no sound.
computer works fine if I don't click any button on the error messeges, but once I do, it becomes retarded even more so.

Sounds like a Windows problems to me.
I however, whenever seeing a problem that can't be explained directly (right away) first thing I like to do is open up my computer and dust it out. (you'd be surprised how much dust can screw with a computer)
So what would I do... as I said it sounds like a windows problem because your computer is having a hard time running. Sure the problem is small now, but unless you fix it, it will spread.
My best bet would say to dust out your computer and reformat. But you can't reformat as you said. Is your computer a pre-built? That came with an operating system (windows in this case)? If so, maybe you can contact the company on seeing what they can do.

Something you've got to know.
I don't know computers at all.
If I were to blow out the dust from the computer, I wouldn't know which plug goes to which, or which chip slot goes to what even if I were to take them out one by one.
I'm so lazy to a point where it's probably a sin so I probably will not figure out the slots myself, etc.
And instead of calling the company which I have no idea on how to figure out what the company is and how to contact them, is there a website I can go to - a forums for a larger number of proffesional help? Because I admit that all that i'm willing to do is read step by step intructions and basically fix it automatically without paying money, or putting anything into the computer (aka reformating)
(what I had in mind is like, going to a link of some sort in the start menu or on a website to check for available updates and install from there since automatic updates showing up in front of me does not work, and that could hopefully fix stuff)

ok, I got my computer updated. (And I don't think this will actually completely fix the issue and why error messeges came up, etc)
But do I leave the automatic update off?
But first, thanks alot linh! Just the kind of infomation a lazy person like me was looking for.
